Exercise 3 - Remove unnecessary words

Read the following sentences and remove unnecessary words. You may need to rewrite some of them if necessary. (Click q for answers.)

q 6. Income for the month of November set a new record.
q 7. The committee had a meeting Monday and made an announcement that it would recruit more people to work.
q 8. The new product was launched for the purpose of giving the consumers other alternatives.
